Privacy Policy

Redink is operated by PageTurner Studio LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with when you use Redink at redink.ink.
What we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed password.
PDF content and feedback text. When you use Redink, you upload a PDF and paste revision notes. We extract the text from your PDF and send it, along with your feedback, to our AI provider to generate markup instructions. We do not store the full PDF contents long-term — only the annotation output we return to you.
Usage metadata. We record how many PDFs you've processed, credit usage, and general product usage patterns. We use this to improve Redink's accuracy and to operate the credit system.
Payment information. We do not store your card number or payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe may collect and store billing details subject to their own privacy policy.

- To send transactional emails (receipts, account alerts) — no marketing without your consent
- To improve Redink's markup accuracy using anonymized usage patterns
- To comply with legal obligations
Who we share your information with
We use the following third-party services to operate Redink. Each is a sub-processor of your data:

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.
Note on client documents: When you upload a client's PDF, that document's text is sent to OpenAI to generate annotations. If your client agreements restrict sharing their materials with third-party AI providers, it is your responsibility to obtain the necessary permissions before using Redink.
Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage metadata is retained to operate the credit system and improve the product. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
All users: You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@redink.ink.
EU/EEA residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@redink.ink. If you are located in the EU and wish to use Redink for business purposes, you may request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) from us.
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information).
Cookies
We use only functional cookies necessary to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
